Areas Covered

1) Learn to play tuned percussion including the marimba and vibraphone.
2) Learn to play the snare drum and develop your stick control.
3) Learn to play orchestral percussion including the tambourine, triangle and castanets.
4) Learn to play ethnic percussion including the djembe and bongos.
5) Students will also have the opportunity to enter Associated Board graded percussion examinations.

The Teacher

Lessons will be given by James Hughes, a talented percussionist who regularly tours the UK in the percussion and piano duo Unit SIX. He has over seven years of teaching experience and is currently resident drum kit and percussion teacher at two schools in South East England.
