Areas Covered

1) Learn to play a range of styles including Rock, Pop, Jazz, Latin, Funk and Reggae.
2) Learn to read drum music.
3) Learn to listen to a piece of music and work out and play the drum kit part.
4) Learn how to incorporate hand percussion with a drum kit.
5) Students will also have the opportunity to enter TrinityGuildhall graded drum kit examinations.

The Teacher

Lessons will be given by James Hughes, a talented percussionist who regularly tours the UK in the percussion and piano duo Unit SIX. He has over seven years of teaching experience and is currently resident drum kit and percussion teacher at two schools in South East England.
